Participating in the 2020 Census is critical for local businesses

The U.S. Constitution mandates an official count of every person living in the United States every 10 years. By law, everyone — regardless of age, race/ethnicity, sex, employment or citizenship status — is required to be counted, including young children.

Despite being the fastest-growing ethnic group in the country, the Asian American and Native Hawaiian/Pacific Islander community is also among the least likely to complete the 2020 census, putting us at serious risk for a census undercount. Our demographic makeup is immensely diverse — represented by roots in a vast range of countries, languages, educational backgrounds and occupations and careers.
